Baros Island Maldives

A tiny private island in the translucent waters of the North Malé Atoll, the recently renovated Baros Maldives has established a loyal following due to its distinctive blend of laid-back luxury, welcoming hospitality and first-class facilities.

Circled in a ten minute stroll, this gorgeous little island is hemmed with dazzling sand and offers contemporary, elegant facilities. A place where style meets simplicity and a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Location

Just 600 yards long and 180 yards wide, this pristine semi circular island is located in the North Male Atoll about 30 minutes by speedboat from Male airport. One side of the island has a coral house reef, perfect for snorkelling and diving, the other side of the island boasts a shallow lagoon ideal for swimming.

Accommodation

Deluxe Villa A stand alone thatched bungalow cocooned in the lush island greenery. Facing the beach, each villa features a shaded veranda and open-air bathroom set in a private garden.Each room has wireless and cable internet connection and an indoor and oudoor shower. Baros Villa Villas boasting more expansive outdoor and indoor living areas. A spacious terrace with daybed, sitting area and a private sun deck to enjoy the tranquility of the island. An air of grace and romance indoors with teak floors, high celings and a romantic king size bed. Set on the white sand beach. Each room has an espresso machine, wine chiller, wireless internet connection, an indoor and outdoor shower. (103 sq.m) N.B No twin beds available.

Water Villa (NB: No children under 12 yrs permitted) Set on stilts over the lagoon and offering spectacular panoramic sea views. The water villas are built entirely of wood and feature coconut-thatch roofs. Spacious over water deck allows you to lounge in total privacy. Wooden stairs from the deck step directly into the crystal clear water allowing you to swim or snorkel straight from your villa. The Baros Residence is all about pure indulgence. the contemporary and sophisticated design, featuring natural tones and materials, such as teak wood, granite and marble, as well as luxury bathroom fittings and fixtures and high quality furniture create an exclusive atmosphere of well being. The private pool area with its spacious deck and outdoor rainfall shower is set in a lush tropical garden and is the Baros Residence's ultimate personal hideaway, ideal for en-suite spa treatments or an intimate dining experience. The large front timber sundeck is the place to laze on your daybed or sun loungers and enjoy the tropical setting. Island activities includes PADI certified scuba diving, a wide range of water sports including snorkelling, plus there is also the opportunity to take a seaplane photo flight.

If you are searching for something further afield, excursions include snorkelling, sunset cruises, shopping on Male, island hopping, sunrise picnics, sunset fishing and big game fishing.
