Inspired and designed to depict a traditional Malay village, Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa,  Langkawi's architecture was conceptualised to blend in with the environment.  Characteristically raised on stilts with open spacious verandas, featuring sloping roofs, exposed roof tiles and trusses. 

Enter into a world of casual simplicity where each chalet belies the luxurious traditional charm quality within. Elegantly furnished in soft, pastel colours, each guestroom is thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities while the lighting creates a soft, cosy ambience. To enhance further the character of the wooden interior, natural textured material such as sisal carpet panels and nyatoh flower motifs have been added to the wall as decorative pieces. All rooms and suites are non-smoking.

PELANGI JUNIOR SUITE

Located in the proximity of the beach and swimming pools, the Pelangi Suites provide charming sea and pool views. With an area of 73.4 square metres and equipped with full 5-star amenities, Pelangi Suites are available in both single and double storey chalets, comprising the intimate-design of one bedroom and studio style.

All guests are accorded VIP listing with in-room registration and access to the Meritus Club Lounge and its facilities.

LANGKAWI SUITE

Sea or pool facing Langkawi Suites are housed in single-storey chalets, comprise of a master bedroom with king & queen-size beds, sitting room and dining room.  Guests enjoy in-room registration and free membership to the exclusive Meritus Club Lounge and its facilities

KEDAH SUITE

Housed in single storey chalet, all Kedah Suites are sea facing and have spectacular view of the beach flanked by lush tropical garden, comprise of a master bedroom, sitting room and dining room.  Guests enjoy in-room registration and free membership to the exclusive Meritus Club Lounge and its facilities.

COMMONWEALTH SUITE

Designed and built specifically for the Commonwealth Heads of Government weekend retreat in 1989, these prestigious chalets used to house the former Prime Minister of Britain, Mrs Margaret Thatcher, The Ruler of Brunei, His Royal Highness Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and other world political figures. The same chalets were also home to Malaysian Royalties during the Rulers Conference two years later.

Housed in double storey chalets, guests enjoy special privileges like in-room registration and free membership to the exclusive Meritus Club Lounge.

Facilities

There is a choice of restaurants, live entertainment and a regular barbecue near the beach. Two lovely large freeform swimming pools and a children’s pool are situated at each wing in addition to a pool bar and jacuzzi. A fitness centre and spa with steamroom and sauna, squash and tennis courts, minigolf and a Kid’s Club (3-12 years) also feature. Watersports include sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing and canoeing.
